    1. Shop until you drop at the Prairie Grove Clothesline Fair.

    Where: Prairie Grove Clothesline Fair

    When: August 31 – September 2

    Spend your time off with the Arts Center of the Ozarks for their 66th annual Prairie Grove Clothesline Fair. 150 vendors with 300 booths will showcase handmade goods in beautiful Prairie Grove Battlefield Park. Bring some cash and treat yourself to hand-crafted goodies.

    2. Fly down a zipline at Family Fest.

    Where: Northwest Assembly, 301 SW Unity Blvd, Bentonville AR

    When: September 2

    Northwest Assembly is hosting a Family Fest at their Bentonville campus, complete with carnival rides, inflatables, a zipline, and helicopter flights. The best part? The event is completely free!

    3. Watch some baseball and grab a $1 hot dog.

    Where: Arvest Ballpark, 3000 Gene George Blvd, Springdale, AR

    When: September 2

    The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are taking on the Frisco Rough Riders this Labor Day weekend. To celebrate their last home game of the season, the Naturals are hosting a Fan Appreciation Weekend with $1 hot dogs and “baseball bingo.”

    4. Listen to some smooth tunes at the Hot Springs JazzFest.

    Where: Hot Springs, AR

    When: August 31 – September 1

    If you’re in the mood for a road trip and you’re a fan of jazz music, drive out to Hot Springs this Labor Day weekend for the 28th annual JazzFest. The concert series begins on August 23. On August 31, there will be a JazzFest Block Party with a free outdoor concert under the Broadway Street Sky Bridge.

    5. Watch the National Championship Chuckwagon Races.

    Where: Eoff Ranch, 2484 Shake Rag Road, Clinton, Arkansas

    When: August 24 – September 1

    Check out the annual championship chuckwagon racing, bronc fanning, and horse racing at Eoff Ranch in Clinton, AR. There will be live music and craft vendors all weekend to enjoy between the races. The event started off as a private party for the Eoff family, and has grown over the years to host approximately 20,000 people.

    6. Hunt for treasures in the trash at the Van Buren Downtown Junkfest.

    Where: Main Street, Van Buren, AR

    When: August 31

    Take a trip to charming Downtown Van Buren and hunt for buried treasure at Junkfest. This enormous junk sale features rustic style antique goods from vendors and live music. It’s perfect for anyone who loves bargains and farmhouse décor.
